Green Smoothie

This is my go to smoothie recipe for 1 reason, it is easy! I usually have spinach, bananas and yogurt on hand, and fresh or frozen fruit (personal favorites in the smoothie are strawberries or peaches). Throw it all into a blender and serve. The smoothie is a family pleaser- not too grassy tasting for the kids and not to sweet for the adults. It is a great way to start the day off with 1 serving of fruit and 1 serving of vegetables. Ingredients:

  •  4 ounce of water
  • One scoop of plain Greek Yogurt (about 2 ounces)
  • 1/2 cup of fruit 
  • 1/2 banana (can be frozen or fresh)
  • One large handful of spinach

Directions:

  1. Pour water into the bottom of the blender
  2. Next add yogurt, berries and banana
  3. Last add the spinach
  4. Blend, pour into your glass and enjoy!
