Have you looked at the label of any granola at the grocery store? Usually the 3rd ingredient is sugar and a 1/2 cup of granola has anywhere between 12-18 grams of sugar! I love granola on yogurt, smoothie bowl or just plain to snack on, so this pushed me to create a recipe with minimal sugar.
